Founded in 1952, Gazzola Paving is a paving, asphalt and aggregate company in the GTA servicing municipal and commercial projects ranging from highways, city streets, parking lots and more. Typical projects you will be involved in include new road development, road reconstructions, and asphalt overlays.
We are looking to hire a Junior Project Coordinator to join our Estimating team. The successful candidate will have a chance to learn all aspects of the Road Building and Paving business. You will work with the Estimating team and liaise with customers and internal staff to bid projects. You will also Ensure our awarded projects are tracked and recorded professionally and accurately.
Responsibilities:
· Field new quotation opportunities and client requests
· Attending site meetings as required
· Perform field and office-based take-offs for quotation purposes
· Creating and distributing asphalt quotations to interested parties.
· Aid in the preparation of contract documentation and subcontracts for new awarded Projects as required
· Build Traffic Protection Plans & all aid in preparation Project specific Insurance and Health & Safety submittal requirements
· Track Project quantities and work completed for monthly progress invoicing
· Conduct materials test and analysis, using tools and equipment, and applying engineering knowledge.
Requirements:
· Ability to work in a group environment, and must be a team player and self-starter
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with customers.
· Ability to maintain organization of multiple projects at one time and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Must be able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
· Familiarity with Ontario Traffic Manual Book 7
· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products
· Knowledge of construction & scheduling software such as AutoCAD, Primavera Suretrack & Bluebeam

Education: University Engineering or Civil Engineering Technologist /Technician College Degree (Required)
